serial #70067, 5.6x57mm, 24" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This neat bolt action rifle proves turn-about is fair play.About the same time Savage was importing fine Anschutz products into this country and putting their name on them, Savage also exported their model 110 to the German market, and Anschutz marked their name on the left side of the receiver. The metal surfaces on this "Europeanized" model 110 retain about 98% original blue, the loss is due primarily to a small contaminated area on the underside of the barrel where something has removed the blue and left behind some very minor pinprick pitting. The skip-line checkered buttstock features a European comb with rounded left-side cheekpiece and schnabel forend tip, the stock rates excellent with only a handful of light dings and handling marks.Likely the most attractive 110 you will ever see, the barrel features a banded sporting ramp front sight with a single fixed standing leaf rear sight atop a sporting base; the barrel has a light European style sporting contour. The gun is also equipped with double set triggers and nice long-tang triggerguard. The barreled action of course exhibits German proofs and is dated December, 1966.Included is a set ofaluminum Savage bases and 1" rings and 3/4" basketweave style sling. The 5.6 x 57 cartridge is very popular in Europe and provides excellent performance on roe deer, chamois and similar size game.Ammunition is available from RWS.(34695-56)
